Sudah lama tidak posting seri Weekend Tanpa Mall. Kali ini saya mau cerita tentang taman baru yang nyaman di Jakarta Timur yang bisa jadi alternatif untuk dikunjungi saat weekend tanpa mall. Selain untuk olahraga, taman hijau ini juga asyik buat piknik, sesuai dengan namanya yaitu Taman Piknik. Disana disediakan banyak tempat duduk, baik yang atapnya tertutup maupun terbuka.
Biasanya pembangunan kota yang bagus cuma ada di daerah Jakarta Selatan dan Pusat (rekomendasi taman di Jakarta Pusat sudah pernah saya tulis disini), sedangkan Jakarta Timur sering dianaktirikan hehe. Jadi saya senang sekali munculnya taman gratis ini di dekat Raden Inten Kalimalang, sekitar 5km dari rumah saya yang di Bekasi. Kalau masuk jalan tol Becakayu dari Bekasi ke arah Halim, kita bisa melihat jelas taman cantik ini dari atas. Lokasinya persis di pinggir Kalimalang tapi tertutup, jadi masuknya melewati jalan yang sama ke SMA 81. Untuk lebih jelasnya cek saja di Waze atau Google Maps ya. Disana terdapat tempat parkir kendaraan tapi tidak terlalu besar, mungkin muat untuk 6-8 mobil. Kebanyakan pengunjung datang menggunakan motor atau berjalan kaki dari perumahan sekitar.
Taman baru ini dikelilingi oleh kompleks penduduk dan sekolahan yang asri dan tenang (kecuali sesekali bunyi bel sekolah). Sebenarnya taman yang indah ini tidak baru-baru amat sih, sudah dibuka hampir 2 tahun. Tapi untuk hitungan taman kota, masih terbilang baru. Pohon-pohon yang ditanam belum tumbuh besar, jadi enaknya kesana pagi sebelum jam 9 dan sore hari setelah jam 3 biar tidak terlalu terik. Walaupun pohonnya belum terlalu rindang, tapi banyak jenis bunga berwarna-warni yang ditanam disana, dan spot instagrammable di huruf-huruf besar dengan warna mencolok yang bertuliskan TAMAN PIKNIK. Dijamin ibu-ibu bakalan suka hehe tapi bunganya jangan dipetik untuk dibawa pulang ya!
Selain itu, saya suka area playground anak yang disediakan. Ada perosotan, kuda-kudaan dan monkey bars (ini bahasa indonesianya apa ya, manjat-manjatan?). Jangan lupa bawa bola sendiri ya. Mudah-mudahan mainan anaknya ditambah lagi, tapi jangan di bagian rumput kosong di bawahnya. Karena, area itu bisa dipakai anak-anak buat lari-larian atau main bola. Space kosong sedikitpun sangat berharga bagi anak-anak Jakarta yang jarang memiliki lahan luas.
Satu lagi kelebihan dari Taman Piknik (atau kekurangan ya?), taman ini ‘bersih” dari jajanan gerobak, setidaknya pada Sabtu pagi. Saya belum pernah datang di waktu lain sih. Kalau ada jajanan, takutnya yang lagi jogging dan olahraga jadi ga fokus hehe. Jadi yang mau piknik ya bawa makanan dan tikar sendiri. Disana ada toilet tapi saya tidak tau bersih atau nggak, karena waktu itu dikunci. Sepertinya memang default-nya dikunci, dan kalau mau menggunakan baru minta kuncinya ke satpam yang standby di dekat tempat parkir. Mungkin hal itu untuk menjaga toilet nya tidak terlalu kotor, tapi kalau lagi kebelet banget dan tidak ada satpam gimana?
Yang beneran kekurangannya itu adalah ada bagian di ujung taman yang berada persis di samping selokan yang bau. Sedangkan di ujung taman satunya lagi ada bedeng yang sesekali menyemburkan asap hitam tebal ke udara. Sepertinya itu tempat pembakaran sampah. Kecil sih tapi cukup mengganggu juga. Alangkah baiknya kalau mereka dipindahkan ke tempat lain. Walaupun begitu kita masih bisa enjoy taman ini kok, dengan tahan napas atau nggak melewati bagian itu sama sekali.
Semoga makin banyak taman nyaman lainnya di daerah Jakarta Timur (dan Bekasi Barat please!). Mudah-mudahan juga pengunjungnya tetap menjaga kebersihan taman dengan tidak membuang sampah sembarangan ya.
